Wellness

The wellbeing of our students and staff is critical to the success of our school and despite having over 300 students, we are a very family orientated community that truly believes in the ‘it takes a village’ approach to child-rearing and developing active young minds.

PSHE (Physical, Social, Health and Economic education) is taught to every grade in the school, ranging from circle time discussions for the youngest students all the way through to understanding financial literacy for those preparing to move onto their next step in the world.  All our teachers have been trained by the PSHE Association, a British charity and leading organisation is this sector.  We cover a very wide range of topics within the following groupings:

  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Living in the wider world
  • Relationships

In addition to PSHE, we have a part time counselling psychologist who delivers whole class lessons and also works with small groups and individuals as needed.

Odd sock day as part of Anti Bullying Week

We have a strict anti-bullying policy and celebrate Anti Bullying week in line with the British Anti Bullying Alliance.

Mindful breathing and yoga are offered to all grades at selected parts of the year and can be particularly useful in managing any stress or conflict.
