It is indeed an honour for me to serve as headmaster of Island Academy International School. I can say without reservation or fear of contradiction that our greatest assets, as a school, are our students. Our students have demonstrated a keen willingness to learn and be creative in their academic endeavours. As an International Baccalaureate World School, our students are actively engaged in the process of learning.

Island Academy is a school that trains students to be thinkers and leaders. As a result, I am confident that there are students currently enrolled in this school who will not only play a significant role in the development of Antigua and Barbuda as a nation, but will also make significant contributions on the world stage.

As educators, we must be aware that what we do on a daily basis will affect the lives of our students in profound ways. When successful people are asked to name the person who has influenced them the most, invariably, with the exception of their parents, they name a teacher. The teachers at Island Academy International School are exceptionally dedicated and caring individuals. They have contributed greatly to the many successes what we have had during the course of this school year.

It is our goal to produce excellent students who understand their responsibility as citizens of the world community. This is indeed our challenge and we live up to it by teaching our students to be responsible, guided by the simple principle of treating others as you would like to be treated.
